Back In The Saddle

Ive finally worked out what I am going to do with this blog. I'm going to limit my time on the net because it impinges on my creativity. I have been keeping a visual diary off line but not always every day and not always every thing I want to say because the Ive become lazy with hand writing.

I want it to be a record of my creative growth and the rule now is, I can only blog if I have created something that can be displayed here.

So here goes.... On Monday morning I was walking to work and I saw this image on the footpath. I don't know how it became a perfect circle with an autumn leaf inside but I looked at it and kept walking. I noted its beauty but because I was in a hurry to get to work I just kept going. It pulled me back and I took my camera out of my bag and took the snap. I'm so glad I did because when I got to work and put the image my computer as my background lots of people come to comment about it. One man said "You know Kim, we probably see this stuff everyday, but none of us take notice of it". First I thought the composition was balanced and pleasing, then my head kicked in and said its just a leaf on the asphalt, nothing special. But what has really nailed it for me was that it was an impulsive shot. How perfect the wet circle with the leaf inside, just a message from Godde saying I love you. I smiled and went to work with extra zing in my step.
