Zine Fair

I had a lovely day at Gorman House yesterday attending the Zine Workshop and Zine Fair. I met up with the young lady again who wrote the Cervexosaurus Zine and got her to sign a copy of it for my collection. She is still giving away her Zines and remembered me from last year at the National Gallery Zine Fair coz I wanted to pay her again.

Nailed It

All weekend Ive been working on these garlands. I feel as fragile as the garlands. Might be something to do with the fall and the flu shot. Its been so nice to finally be able to produce something I see in my imagination in real life.

3D Garland

This is the prototype for the garlands I want to make. Im thinking I like 2D but at least I have given them a chance and who knows, I might come back to them in the future.

Smackdown

Last Autumn I had a smackdown due to these little round balls that fall off the trees with the autumn leaves, I didn't see it coz I was talking too much. The difference in having a samackdown in Canberra compared to Katherine is that I would have come up swinging in Katherine but in Canberra I just stood up and composed myself and checked the injuries and dusted of the clothes.

Divine Tree

This is beautiful, not only spiritually but aesthetically. The time to make and place them is a healing activity which is important for us all.

The day out in the country yesterday did my spirit good.

Loriendale Orchards

Being the good and faithful daughter for my dad, I went to the apple farm today and purchased a heap of apricot jam that he loves. It was a lovely day and there was an orchestra, choirs, and pianists as well as an organic barby, freshly squeezed apple juice made in a 19th century wooden crusher. And this lovely piece of music a young girl played for us and it was so lovely, I had to ask her to write down the name of it and also to play it again. I never get sick of hearing it.
