Dik Books

Last year after my birthday party I released a journal out to a list of attendees. Since then I have released 3 more. 2 of them come back to me on a regular basis through the mail. They are all to do with art and I named one the doodle book. Doodle book..... nah, it has to DIK Book. Just sounds right!
I am currently in Darwin with my dad being golden haired. Today I had a personal best by fitting in the seat on the plane and being able to put the table down to eat off it. First time in 20 years....Yay!

Morning Poem

Every morning

the world

is created.

Under the orange

sticks of the sun

the heaped

ashes of the night

turn into leaves again

and fasten themselves to the high branches ---

and the ponds appear

like black cloth

on which are painted islands

of summer lilies.

If it is your nature

to be happy

you will swim away along the soft trails

for hours, your imagination

alighting everywhere.

And if your spirit

carries within it

the thorn

that is heavier than lead ---

if it's all you can do

to keep on trudging ---

there is still

somewhere deep within you

a beast shouting that the earth

is exactly what it wanted ---

each pond with its blazing lilies

is a prayer heard and answered

lavishly,

every morning,

whether or not

you have ever dared to be happy,

whether or not

you have ever dared to pray.

The House of Vincent

This treasured brooch  was found at the House of  Vincent today and made me smile.  I love Vinnies or V -Mart as I sometimes call it.  Get most of my things from there. Sure, cost is a factor but then its the variety. I hate mass produced things. They have no heart. They are cold to me and upset my energy. Like we are all mindless robots that have to look and want the same.... Nah!!!! not for me. Then there is the sustainability factor. If I buy clothes there they feel soft on my skin not all scratchy from the chemicals that are sprayed on the clothes when they leave China.

Whimsy Vid

TKO

Today I got home from my first hospital sleep over. My first anesthetic, my first understanding of what its like to consciously give up control of my entire body. I wasn't scared at all and didn't have nightmares building up to it, however my body has its own wisdom and when they transferred me on to the table I started to shake. I didn't tell them at first but I could feel the shaking starting to get stronger and said I'm starting to shake and they immediately went in to sleepy bye bye actions. Then the mask started coming and I didn't even feel it touch my face. Must have passed out then. I woke up with my glasses on which was surreal. So to me nothing had happened. I have to say my first TKO and stay in hospital was rather enjoyable.

Jews - Tick

"That’s probably because I’m Jewish. In our religion, we don’t consider a fetus to be viable until after it’s graduated from medical school."
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz explains her bafflement over the birth control debate.

Ive been really intrigued by the Jews over the past 5 years. I love it that they are still around after such a long period of persecution, how they protect their knowledge and their innovative and creative ways that have saved them. Of course they are easy on the eye as well and have an earthy approach to sex and heaven.  Probably dig deep in this sand pit soon.......

Lippy Again

Hello everyone,

I'm back. What got me back is a friend of mine has started doing her blog again after a break and I realized how much I missed reading her blog which makes me giggle and seeing her lovely art work.  It made my heart go thumpity thump thumpalot and I decided that I am going to get back into it again myself. I hope I can sustain it. Feeling a bit flat tonight after putting weeny sister on the bus to Taree today. Swim team tonight at the Tuggers pool which Ive neglected since Easter.

Here is my first assignment in Graphic Design. This little chap is name Alexander Pavfanti. Kind of like across between Luciano Pavroti, a Pavlova and a character from Russell Benfantis mind.  http://www.benfanti.com
