Blog Mates

Ive been following Mrs Shepards blog for a year now becuase Simmone said her art is cool and similar to mine. She also purchased some badges for me as a gift. So I looked up the site and found Mrs Shepard. Last night I read this on her blog. "I haven't been my usual Mrs. Shepherd...fun time gal
lately. In fact i have been the complete opposite...well sort of...actually maybe too much fun time but the kind that freaks the guts out of people!
Currently im having a short stay in the mental health clinic at the mayo...feel fee to visit hint hint hehehe it's not so bad the staff are nice and blah blah bladdy bladdy blah..
i have been in some horrendous places so this is the Crowne plaza compared to those experiences." I laughed so much about her terminology of the too much fun time, immediately followed by a gut wrenching knowledge of her courageousness and honesty. I'm wearing her badges in honour of her for the next few days. Darlin girl that she is.

Slowness

I love this ted talk.
http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/carl_honore_praises_slowness.html

Today Maree is looking so much better and is supposed to be going home from hospital on Tuesday. Thanks Godde! Slowness has been the theme for the day. I was talking about how I had forgotten to put my miniatures in to the Capital Chemist Exhibition with dad today (I thought it was in August). Dads solution was to wear a watch with the date and I said I had thought of that but I stopped wearing a watch in the 80s because they stress me out too much. They actually make me sick in the stomach. Its no big deal that the exhibition didnt happen, just made realize I need to put the application forms on my fridge door in future.

Maree slowes me down and I sat with her for a couple of hours today not really talking but doing alot of smiling and lots of touching. At one point we had a cuddle that lasted for a couple of minutes. When I left there was a Chineese family that were nodding and smiling at me saying good good. Yes, I do feel good and its because of Maree.

Sweet Almond Eyes

My best girl Maree is in hospital at the moment. I'm too upset to write about whats going on with her, but last night it was her birthday. I went to the hospital and she has gone down hill so much in the 10 days and more so in the last few days she has been there, I cried. But while I was there I held this fury black toy monkey up to her so she could see it and she reached out slowly and very gently patted the fur. I cried at this display of care for this little black monkey because even though she can hardly move and is constantly hungry and thirsty, she tried to comfort this toy. I cant get her lovley blue almond shaped eyes out of my head.

Half Moon Peeper

I'm so in love with this occurrence in nature, that has become more important for me over the past year. I don't know why. Still pondering it. Hans Heysen has done quite a few paintings capturing it. I just feel so honeyfied when I notice the moon and the sun up at the same time. And the big news today is that I am now a proud aunt of an Electrical Fitter Mechanic. My darling boy.

Ranga

Id not understood what this word meant until Jules took the helm. There's a guy in Katherine who nick name was ranga, but he didn't have red hair. So I looked up the Urban dictionary and found this

"Derived from Orangutan or from the Latin “Orange Utan” meaning red pubic hair, commonly known as Fanta pants. This creature is well known for its fiery temper and pale skin; hence its ability to spend long periods of time in the sun is limited. The female of the spices is renowned for being good in bed, combining its natural aggression with its lack of appreciation for its looks."

I cracked up with Fanta pants. That's hilarious! On the other hand disappointed the modern take is aimed at how valuable a woman is as a sex object.

This is a picture of my beautiful cousin Tahnee.

Im Feeling It

My first friend, Jenny went to Godde today.

Eyes wont stop stinging..........................

My letter to her sister below.

Dear Peggy

Its tough times mate. I feel for you guys. I just wanted to let you know I love your sister like a sister, because that was what she was to me. Id been searching for her since 2005 and only found her on facebook 23/12/08. I wanted to tell her what she meant to me and how she helped me at the beginning of my life when I had not had anyone else befriend me. She was my first friend and I have the letter home from the Kindy teacher to mum who explains the start of our friendship and how my behaviour improved immediately. It was probably 1964. All through school she was there, my role model who I adored. There is a kindy photo of us two talking and a later one in 1970s where we are laughing together in the school photo. I remember one incident in the beginning where we were going on an excursion and Jenny forgot to put her undies on and had to tell Mr Millwood to go back so she could put them on. Laugh!!! And when I was about 11 she told me that I was pretty, up to that time Id thought I was ugly. Then how she gave me a couple of dancing lessons in our laundry so I could style up at our disco. I'm not surprised at the vocation she ended up in. Making people feel good about them selves, its her natural gift. That gift will continue with me because I hold them in my heart and it wasn't until I got older I realised how much she influenced me. Well I named my doll, my chook, my dog after her and intended to call my first daughter Jenny too. The only regret we both had is that we didn't spend enough time together after school. I also regret that I couldnt come to her 50th. But it was great to be back in touch and meet up with her in Darwin, that darlin brave girl.... Whos name pulses through my life in such a whimsical way.

American Chow Wow A

We were sharing stories of our dreams last night and Abby piped up and said she had a dream about an American Chihuahua. I asked her what the bark difference was between an Australian and American Chihuahua, followed by some high pitched barking. So that sparked my imagination again and I come up with this limerick. There once was an American Chihuahua, who refused to take a shower, which led to the path of taking a bath, now he smells like a flower.
